Facilities

We are located at the Shain Farm in Sanford on Grammar Road.  Here's the Shain Family home, the first thing you see as you drive in our driveway.  The Shains (my folks!)  live on the premises and my house is just up the hill a ways, ensuring constant supervision and care for our horses.

We are fortunate to have a beautiful indoor arena that was built in 2006.  At 72 X 160 feet it is big and bright and perfect for riding all year long.  A Tarprite (www.tarprite.com) building is a great environment for everyday riding as well as heavy duty training.  We have a sand and stonedust footing that is conducive to all disciplines. The outdoor 100' x 100' arena is next to the large indoor and is perfect for flat work.  We also just finished a new 100' x 200' outdoor arena which is set up for hunter jumper training.  Thanks so much to Jeff Simpson for donating time and materials to get that done.  It's AWESOME!

Here's a view from my house looking down to the farm.  This was prior to the outdoor arenas being built.

A view of the large 30' x 50' run in shed that keeps our pasture boarders comfortable all year round.

Some of our resident beasties enjoying hay on a late spring afternoon.  Next to our QH Palomino, Gossip is Jethro the donkey.  Check out the "meet the beasties" page for highlights on everyone!

Even in the colder months, the arena is quite comfortable, bright and airy.

And our new stall fronts in the renovated 200 plus year old barn.  We have spent a considerable amount of time restoring this barn from where it was just two years ago to today...  a lot of work was necessary and more has to happen, but we're proud of the history and the progress we've made.  Check out the "barn renovation" page to see the changes that we've gone through!

Another view of the stalls from the back of the barn looking out the front. We have 14 airy box stalls and are in the process of adding an an addition with 8 new stalls and we're putting a new roof on the barn!  So much to do!

Here's the indoor illuminated at night... it's quite a sight from the road!
